A 16-year-old male from Cambridge has been arrested in connection with Wednesday morning’s armed robbery that occurred in the area of Flagg Street and Banks Street. He will face an armed robbery charge as well as charges associated with three outstanding warrants. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.

The Cambridge Police Department is asking residents to be aware of their surroundings after a female reported she was assaulted by an unknown suspect on Tuesday evening at approximately 10:15 p.m. in the area of Putnam Avenue and Green Street.
On Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at approximately 11:50 PM a female undergraduate student reported to the Harvard University Police Department that she was assaulted while running along the Charles River near the intersection of Memorial Drive and Western Avenue. Over last weekend, 9/23/17 and 9/24/17, the Harvard University Police Department responded to three (3) reports of thefts occurring in two different Yard dorms and an upperclass house at the Radcliffe Quad. In the two Yard thefts the offender(s) opened or pushed in screen windows on first floor rooms and removed laptops from desks situated right next to the windows. Harvard University Police Department has received reports of multiple bomb threats emailed to various University officials on campus. Harvard is one of many local colleges and universities that have received similar threats this afternoon. re is NO credible threat to the University at this time. No buildings are being evacuated. University staff should be vigilant and report any suspicious behavior that they may observe.
