Timely Warning - Bomb Threat at Memorial Hall

Earlier today, the Harvard University Police Department (HUPD) became aware of a bomb threat involving Memorial Hall. With the assistance of the Cambridge Police Department (CPD), HUPD evacuated and searched the building. Out of an abundance of caution, officers evacuated and searched Memorial Church, as well. Both buildings were reopened at 12:30 PM after being cleared by law enforcement.

HUPD has no reason to believe there is a continuing threat to the campus community.

The investigation into this morning’s threat is ongoing.

Anyone who receives a bomb threat or observes suspicious activity should take it seriously and immediately contact HUPD at 617-495-1212. HUPD will promptly dispatch officers to investigate and take whatever police action is necessary and reasonable to protect the community.
