Timely Warning - Shooting on Sherman St Near Radcliffe Quad, Cambridge
At approximately 11:05 AM this morning, the Harvard University Police Department received a report from the Cambridge Police Department of a shooting on Sherman Street, near the Radcliffe Quad. HUPD officers were immediately dispatched to the area to assist the Cambridge Police Department (CPD) with the search for the suspect. A MessageMe alert was immediately sent to the University community with shelter-in-place instructions. CPD and HUPD officers conducted a thorough search of the area but were unable to locate the suspect. CPD has confirmed that ballistic evidence has been recovered, and there are no known victims at this time. At approximately 11:53 AM, the shelter in place was lifted as CPD communicated that there was no ongoing public safety risk at that time.
