On Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at approximately 5:00 AM a female undergraduate student reported to the Harvard University Police Department that she was indecently assaulted while on Plympton Street near Quincy House at approximately 12:45 AM.  The victim reported that she was approached by two males who called out to her.  One of the males grabbed her, threw her against a wall and then began kissing her and fondled her chest.  The victim immediately began screaming and fled the area.  The victim was...

Community Advisory - Burglary and Attempted Burglary, Harvard Yard

September 21, 2018

 

On Friday, September 21, 2018 at approximately 4:15 AM several Wigglesworth Hall residents reported to the Harvard University Police Department that while they were sleeping someone climbed through their first floor window and stole several laptops, wallets and an iPhone from their room.

At approximately 8:20 AM while in the Yard investigating the previous burglary, officers discovered an attempted burglary at Mower Hall. In that incident an unknown offender(s) pulled off a screen but was unable to enter the room as the vent lock was engaged.

On Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at approximately 8:15 AM several Holworthy Hall residents reported to the Harvard University Police Department that while they were sleeping someone climbed through their first floor common room window and stole laptops, wallets and an iPad from their common area and an adjacent common area in another room.
 
In a previous incident last Tuesday, August 28th, a Mower Hall resident reported, that while they were sleeping someone lifted their screen window, reached in and stole a laptop from a desk close...

Community Advisory - Harvard Yard Unarmed Robbery

March 6, 2018

 

On Monday, March 5, 2018 at 6:59 PM a female alumni reported to the Harvard University Police Department that she was robbed in Harvard Yard near Sever Hall as she walking on the path to exit onto Quincy Street. The victim stated an unknown male approached her from behind and grabbed her purse, causing her to fall to the ground. The offender fled the Yard. Officers searched the area but not locate the offender.
 
The victim was unable to provide a detailed description.
